A FEW WORDS ABOUT US
In 1980 at the age of 13, Eric Kline was sitting in a movie theater with his mother and grandmother watching Neil Diamond in the “Jazz Singer.” This was the moment he became enamored with music. Singer-Songwriters in particular. In 1983, Kline, a quiet, shy kid from Boston moved to Florida with his family. While at University of Florida and Florida International University, Kline’s passion for music videos ignited. The music of Bruce Springsteen (then Bon Jovi, the Doors, Led Zeppelin and others) would propel him into the world of the music business- with a little help. While editing late one night at FIU, Kline met Max Gousse. The two became fast friends. In early 1991, Gousse, a computer tech at Video Jukebox Network introduced Kline to the production department. Kline immediately started producing :30 & :60 second promos for rappers and R&B singers.
When former MTV VP of Programming Les Garland joined Video Jukebox the channel became “The Box.” The channel grew to international fame as the first music channel where you could control what you wanted to see. Kline grew with the channel and became the Sr. Producer until the channel merged with MTV2 in 2000.
Since then Kline has been running Eric Kline Productions. All told, for the past twenty six years, he has been at the helm of more than 300 commercials, music videos and television productions for some of the biggest musicians, record labels, actors and movie studios in entertainment. These include: Sony, Universal, Miramax, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Notorious B.I.G, Eddie Murphy, Denis Leary, Chris Rock, and Wyclef Jean to name a few.
The company entered the reality show world in 2010 creating a show called “Hair Boss.” Since then Kline has partnered with many other experts to create a variety of shows that will be primed for distribution later in 2017/2018. These include: Fitness, Health and Wellness, Legal, Sports and Entertainment offerings. Kline is also working on a reality show/docuseries work-study program for younger adults and non profits.
